And the Next Secretary of State is…?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has remade her image and her career through international diplomatic relations over the last few years with incredible success.

Obama nominated Clinton in 2009 to succeed Condoleeza Rice as Secretary of State after she lost the Democratic nomination to him in the 2008 presidential campaign  Since, Clinton has had an opportunity to gain international exposure and up the ante on her foreign affairs portfolio.

Susan Rice has been a key player in the Barack Obama administration as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations and has maintained a highly respected professional reputation. The high-profile Democratic candidate, Bloomberg Businessweek is reporting, is set to be the successor of Clinton, who has announced that she will be stepping down. Rice has previously served under President Bill Clinton as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs of the United Nations.

Speculation has already begun around a potential 2016 bid for the White House from Clinton.
